Where it started.
unowli started as a hobby project. On a free evening I wanted to know what was on in Frankfurt and gave up after more than an hour of searching. What is on tonight is spread over dozens of websites, Instagram stories and PDF programmes, in every city all over again. For organisers it is the mirror image: they enter the same dates into ten portals.
What was built.
-
All sources in one place
Programmes from clubs, stages, museums, associations and organisers come together in one place. Anyone who wants to know what is on no longer searches dozens of sites, but opens one.
-
Live on a map
Every event sits at its place. The map shows what is happening nearby today, the list next to it shows when. Frankfurt was the first city; today unowli covers all of Germany.
-
Data maintenance that runs by itself
Dates come in automatically from the venues’ own programmes and from ticketing and tourism feeds, are checked and completed with the help of AI, and doubtful cases land in a review queue. The same application runs in the browser and as an app for iPhone and Android. I offer this route to clients as well.
What came of it.
- 130,129 upcoming events from 1,964 active sources in 1,029 places (as of 27 October 2026)
- 36,858 visitors since measuring began, measured with Plausible (as of 27 October 2026)
- On the App Store, Google Play and as a connector in the Claude directory
- Powers festival maps such as Open Viertel and the Museumsuferfest
